Photo Box

During the summer I came across a tutorial on youtube that was hosted by a man named Tim Holtz.  I fell in love immediately (not with him but with the hardware he was using – ok, so he’s not bad either) and had to purchase some of my own.  The keys and keyholes are fabulous along with the philosophy tags, foliage – there’s just too much to list!

Tim’s style is very grungy which fits me perfectly. (haha)  There’s not much in his line that I haven’t gotten yet.  Grunge board is next on my “to get” list.

Anyway, on to the project – the photo box.

This is a 5×5 inch box made entirely of 80 and 90 lb. cardstock.  Bazzill makes up the biggest part of this box and I used some scrap pieces here and there for extra support on the bottom.  American tag made the 3/4″ antique copper corners and the regular brads.  There is a copper tag and button brad made by Spare Parts and the foliage, key and lock are Tim Holtz, as is the safety pin and “moments” medallion.  Three sides of the box have frames that will hold 4×4 pictures and the tops of the frames are left open so that you can interchange your pics when you choose.  The top of the box was inked with a Tim Holtz flourish mask.  Lots of fun making this!
