A friend of ours recently had heart surgery and this is a card I made for him.
“On the Mend”

I’ve been such a horrible blogger of late. The kids got out of school for the summer and my scrapping slowed down a bit, so my blog got tossed to the side. But only momentarily! I’ve been back into my projects quite heavily in the last month or so and I have a lot to catch up on. Lots of made – from – scratch stuff to post about!
So, without further ado..
Finally things are coming together. I picked up more papers the other day at Grant’s for another recipe book. I also got some new paper holders and accessories to keep things together in my scrap room. Matt added more shelving for me. I told him I could use a whole bedroom for my things and he agreed. It just keeps growing! Here’s an updated picture of the scrap room. Pretty soon there won’t be any room left for me!
I haven’t had much to blog about these past few days. After Easter things calmed down just a little and I was able to get a cork board made for my scrap room. Thanks Matt! I wanted the board to post random thoughts and ideas on so that I don’t forget. I have a bad habit of that! If I don’t write it down, I forget and then later kick myself because – “ohh what was that thing I wanted to do.. oh it would have been so cute.. CRUD! I FORGOT!” Yeah, I hate that. So, this board should help me. I also got a new picture printer for the scrap room and picked up a new picture/paper cutter at Grant’s. It’s a Marvy by Uchida and so far I’m impressed. I had been using the Provo Craft/Cricut personal cutter and even with new blades and cleaning the unit, it was still fraying the edges of my pictures and card stock. Also new in the scrap room is a mini Kenmore sewing machine and what a hoot this little guy is! It’s a beginner machine and Matt picked it up for me at K Mart for around $70. It does a straight or zig zag stitch at different lengths and works fabulously on the papers. I never thought I’d see the day where I was sewing paper, but this little machine is so handy for adding something extra to my pages. I love it!
So, all of these new additions left me with quite an organizational mess in my room and it’s taken a few days to get everything where I think I want it. I’ve realized I need more shelves for sure and have informed my live-in contractor. What would I do without him?Â
 New pictures coming soon!
